Birthday Games

Birthday Games for children are one of the easiest and simplest projects of a birthday party. If your child is old enough to talk, ask them what games they would like to play at the birthday party, most likely it will be games that their friends will also enjoy.

The age of the children depends on what type of games the kids could play, and weather the games should be played in the house or outside. One of the most popular games came from Spain and Mexico; that is to have a pinata full of candy, suspended in the air, and the kids take a stick and try to break the pinata so all the candy will fall out and every child runs in to grab all the candy they can.

Another good game is the traditional pin the tail on the donkey, where each child gets a turn to be blind folded and see who can get the closest to the correct spot, of course the tail should be circled like a target with numbers, and special extra gifts for the children that got a certain number. Of course it is always a good idea to give all the children plenty of inexpensive gifts to ensure that each and every child has a memorable time.

For smaller children there are numerous games and activates to do, such as having a timed coloring contest with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, prizes, but again you would want to have small prizes for all the children. You could have a mini bowling party game, using the same rules as the other games.

Games for preteenagers could include; catch the balloon, twenty questions, whats my line, relay races. Playing the kids favorite ball game is usually very popular. You could let two of the kids choose guests to make two teams, and provide a jersey for each member of each team that they could take home with them, so you would have two different colors.

Teenagers are more into movies and video games, so you could base your birthday party games around that and make it a contest to win certain prizes for the winner. Teens always like sports as well and you could also have them play basket ball, or soccer, or flag foot ball, where each player has one of two color flag in their waste band, but instead of actually tackling the person, just pull their flag out of their waste band.

Pool parties are always a big hit for any age, just make sure to have plenty of towels, and you could get games such as water volley ball, or water basket ball. You could have prizes for the winners of water races, or diving contests, or water tag.

For adult games you could have three legged races, or horseshoes is a popular adult game, some bingo games, a target throwing game. Tag foot ball is always a winner for an adult birthday game.

Keep everyone laughing and having as much fun as they possibly can and they will go home bragging about what a good time they had at the party.
