Baby Birthday
Party
Having a baby birthday party can be fun and rewarding. It
can also be challenging. You want to be able to create
something that will be memorable for the baby, but you do not
want to create something that will cause the baby to be come
overwhelmed by lights, sounds or noises. This of course depends
on the age of the child but between 1-2 years this should be
taken as a matter of course.
Even this young, most children will have some idea of the
various types and kinds of things that they like giving plenty
of opportunity for party ideas. They may have a favorite animal
or they may even have a favorite cartoon character that they
like. If they are too young to have made such determinations
they probably have favorites when it comes to colors or
shapes.
This can give you a good idea of where to start when it
comes to planning and executing a birthday party for a baby. If
the child goes to a daycare consider inviting the other
children from the day care and their parents this will give
your baby a chance to play with people they are familiar with
and give you the opportunity to meet the parents of some of the
kids that your child interacts with.
A baby birthday party is also a great place to get pictures
of some wonderful firsts. Give your child a piece of cake and
let them have at it. It might make a mess but your child will
love it and there will be some absolutely adorable photo
opportunities. The same goes with opening presents. It is a
good idea to assist in this or make it so that it is wrapped in
things like tissue paper that are easy to tear off.
Just about anything age appropriate can be given as a gift
but often times babies will find more enjoyment in the
container than the toys in it. You may want to consider
providing gifts of toys for the bathtub or a series of boxes
making the first one small like a jewelry box you receive when
you purchase jewelry and work up to something that the baby can
crawl in and out of. These make some of the best gifts and cost
almost nothing making a low cost high impact solution for gifts
for your baby.
If you are giving gifts then there are a few items that are
prefect for baby gift giving, these are items such as clothing,
socks, bottle liners if they use them or other practical use
items. Soft books are also good gifts to give especially if
they are tactile based. Babies often are more interested in
textures and feels at younger ages so a book that has soft fur
for the bear or a piece of cloth for clothing will be of
interest. A baby birthday party is a great place to really let
creativity show and a great event to provide a wealth of
memories to show to your child later.
